Centre of Occupational Excellence
The Pearson Centre of Occupational Excellence (COE) provides accredited short courses for professionals seeking to develop their skills. The centre focuses on providing courses addressing scarce skill training to corporate South Africa.
Companies in South Africa are required to contribute 1% of their salary bill towards the skills development levy. These funds are then utilised by the various Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA) to address scarce and critical skills among the South African workforce.
SETA accredited programmes are offered by the Pearson COE in order for professionals to gain Continued Professional Development (CPD) points, recognised by professional bodies.
Corporates are able to claim back a rebate from the SETAs for their spend on training and development.
