Session 3 - Design 21st Century Curriculum

- construct learning activities for an aligned curriculum.

DAY 2: 21st Century Activities and Communities
Session 1: 21st Century Learning Activities

Participants will be able to:
- develop teaching plans that incorporate 21st century skills.
- design a real-world, authentic context for their learning activities.
- integrate skilled communication and clear student expectations into their teaching plans and classroom practices.
- use project-based learning to support 21st century learning.
Session 2: Moving Beyond Your Classroom

Participants will be able to:
- analyse learning activities that support cross-cultural competency in and beyond the classroom.
- expand their classroom learning communities to incorporate real-world problem-solving opportunities and build students’ cross-cultural competencies.
- expand the classroom learning community in support of 21st century learning.
Session 3: Improve Communication in the Learning Community

- design learning activities that support 21st century communication beyond the classroom.
- bridge cultural gaps between their students and community learning partners.

DAY 3: 21st Century Assessment and Learning Culture
Session 1: Assessment in the 21st Century Classroom

Participants will be able to:
- analyse formative and summative assessment methods and purposes.
- use rubrics as 21st century communication tools.
- incorporate student-teacher-student communication into their classroom teaching.
- select assessment communication methods that support 21st century learning.
Session 2: Develop Assessments for the 21st Century Classroom

Participants will be able to:
- plan opportunities for formative and summative assessment communication.
- generate a rubric that supports teacher-student-teacher communication.
- include partners from the expanded learning community in assessment practices.
- build interdisciplinary elements into rubrics and learning activities.
Session 3: Build 21st Century Learning Culture for Students and Teachers

Participants will be able to:
- propose, prioritize, and develop classroom changes that support 21st century learning culture.
- apply principles of self-regulation to their professional learning.
- incorporate opportunities for self-regulation into their teaching plans and classroom practices.

Session: 3A(Online) 21st Century Rubrics

Particiapants will be able to:
- Implement 21st century curriculum and collect students’ reactions.
- Find, organize, and critique evidence of 21st century student learning in their classrooms.
- Collaborate online to exchange and evaluate each other’s ideas.
